The Tomb of He Luting is designated as a patriotic education base.

The Tomb of He Luting is located on the hillside behind the He Luting Music Square in Songpo Park, Daxiang District, Shaoyang City.

July 20, 2003 marked the 100th anniversary of He Luting’s birth, and the ashes of He Luting and his wife, Jiang Ruizhi, were interred in a ceremony held at Songpo Park. The tomb faces west and covers an area of 40 square meters, with a square-shaped burial mound.

In June 2007, the Propaganda Department of the Shaoyang Municipal Committee designated the Tomb of He Luting as a Shaoyang Municipal Patriotic Education Base.

He Luting (1903–1999), originally named He Anqing, also known as He Baozhen or He Kai, was born in 1903 during the 29th year of the Guangxu reign in the Qing Dynasty, in Shaodong. In 1923, during the 12th year of the Republic of China, he entered the Art Specialization Program at Yuelu Academy in Changsha to study music and painting. While teaching in his hometown in 1926, the 15th year of the Republic, he participated in the farmers’ movement and joined the Chinese Communist Party. In 1927, the 16th year of the Republic, he took part in the Guangzhou Uprising, later following the insurgent forces to Haifeng, where he worked in the Propaganda Department of the CPC’s Dongjiang Special Committee under the leadership of Peng Pai, composing the “Song of the Guerrillas.” In the spring of 1931, the 20th year of the Republic, he enrolled in the Elective Course at the Shanghai National Conservatory of Music.
