Former Residence of Chen Changhao

The former residence of Chen Changhao is a protected cultural relic site under Wuhan Municipal Government.

The former residence of Chen Changhao is located at No. 6, Daizhuangjia, Group 1, Changxin Village, Zhashan Subdistrict, Caidian District. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

In 2011, the former residence of Chen Changhao was designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit.

Chen Changhao (1906.9.18–1967.7.30), also known as Chen Haiquan and formerly used the name Cangmu, was born in Daizhuangjia, Yong'anbao, Hanshou County, Wuhan (now Zhashan Subdistrict, Caidian District, Wuhan). He was an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China and a loyal proletarian revolutionary fighter.

In 1926, he went to study at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow. After returning to China in November 1930, he joined the Communist Party of China. In January 1934, he was additionally elected as an alternate Central Committee member, and in the same year, he was chosen as a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Chinese Soviet Republic.
