Former Site of the Jun-Yun-Fang County Committee and Government

The former site of the Jun-Yun-Fang County Committee and Government is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province, a classic red tourism destination, and a base for patriotic education.

Former Site of the Jun-Yun-Fang County Committee and Government

Located in Donggou Village, Maota Township, Maojian District, Shiyan City. In June 1946, the Jun-Yun-Fang County Committee and Government were set up here, with Zhu Zhengchuan as the County Party Secretary and Hu Kegong as the County Head. The Headquarters of the Third Military Sub-district of Northwestern Hubei was also located here at the time. The site was originally the Zhou Family Ancestral House, constructed during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty. It has a quadrangle layout, covering an area of 400 square meters with a built-up area of 2,025 square meters, and is built with a brick-and-wood structure. This site is an important physical testament to the Central Plains Breakthrough. (Fifth Batch)
