【Wudang Canyon Rafting Scenic Area】A national AAAA-level tourist attraction. Located in the Huanglong Mountain scenic area of Langhe Town, Danjiangkou City, the rafting course stretches from Daping Village in Huanglong to the village office of Huanglong. The entire rafting route is 7.8 kilometers long with a drop of 188 meters. It is currently the largest in scale, longest in natural river course, most complete in infrastructure, and best in ecological preservation among rafting sites in northwestern Hubei. The scenic river valley is winding and narrow, with nine twists and eighteen turns. The channel varies in width, and the water flow alternates between calm and rapid. Lush mountains rise on both sides with steep cliffs, bizarre rocks, and dense forests that block out the sun. It combines “majesty, danger, beauty, wonder, and serenity,” complemented by picturesque landscapes and a pleasant environment. Visitors can not only experience the thrilling excitement of water sports but also enjoy the charming scenery of the Wudang mountainous region. Cultural and natural attractions within the scenic area include the Late Qing Manor (a second-tier cultural heritage site), Old Yang House, Osmanthus Field, Eight-Zhang Cliff Cave, Jade Pool, Cool Valley, Half-Moon Pool, Pearl Waterfall, Separated Rock Cliff, Hundred-Step Stairs, Chessboard Mountain for sunrise viewing, Alishan Cultural Folk Park, and Huamei Valley Combat Camp.

Ticket Purchase Information

Scenic Area Opening Hours: The scenic area operates normal rafting services every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday; routine river cleaning and maintenance are conducted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Large groups may purchase tickets and coordinate with the scenic area for flexible water release times.

Rafting Start Time: 12:30 PM

All participants must present valid tickets, line up for boarding in order, and carefully read the following precautions.

1. Visitors suffering from high blood pressure, heart disease, pregnant women, intoxicated individuals, children under 5 years old, and elderly people are not suitable for rafting and will not be allowed to participate.

2. Valuables (such as mobile phones, cameras, electronic devices, and jewelry), leather shoes, and the like should be properly kept before boarding and must not be brought onto the raft to avoid damage or loss due to water exposure.

3. Please do not bring sharp or bladed tools onto the raft to ensure the safety of both visitors and the raft.

4. Be sure to wear rafting shoes during the rafting; do not go barefoot or wear sandals.

5. Capsizing may occur during rafting. Please wear a life jacket and helmet at all times. In case of capsizing or falling into the water, promptly separate yourself from the raft and stay calm. If the raft tilts, adjust your body posture toward the direction of the tilt.

6. Follow the guidance and instructions of safety personnel at rafting assistance points regarding techniques for navigating drops, rapids, and whirlpools to ensure safe and smooth rafting.

7. There are play zones in the rafting course. Please avoid playing or splashing in sections with large drops or fast currents.

8. Do not use your hands or feet to brace against rocks during rafting to avoid injury.

9. Please take care of the rafts and rafting equipment. Any loss or damage must be compensated for at the original value.

10. During periods of high river flow, rafting is strictly prohibited for any individual or organization to ensure the safety of visitors and equipment.

11. Upon reaching the end of the rafting course, please disembark in the order arranged by staff and return all rafting equipment intact.

12. The end point is equipped with service facilities such as fast food restaurants, souvenir shops, and changing rooms with showers.

13. Travel insurance worth 50,000 RMB is included in the ticket price. In case of injury during rafting, the scenic spot is responsible for treatment through local hospitals but does not cover other additional expenses (such as compensation for mental distress).

14. Each raft accommodates 6 people. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Self-Drive Route: Shiyan City – Shiyan Expressway – Tuguoya Expressway Exit – follow the right-side sign (approx. 25 minutes) – Langhe 3602 Intersection – Wudang Canyon Rafting Scenic Area (total journey approx. 1 hour)

Hiker Route: Shiyan South Bus Station (take the bus from Shiyan to Danjiang) – get off at Langhe 3602 Intersection (approx. 1 hour) – Wudang Canyon Rafting Scenic Area (total journey approx. 1.5 hours)
