The former site of the Junxian Soviet Government is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province and a classic red tourism attraction.

Former Site of the Junxian Soviet Government

The site is located in Lvjiuhe Village, Guanshan Town, Danjiangkou City. In 1931, the first-level Soviet governments of Junxian County, Guanshan District, and Lvjiuhe Township were established here. The exterior walls retain slogans from the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the Liberation War, and the Great Leap Forward. Originally the Taishan Temple, built during the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty, it features a traditional quadrangle courtyard layout with two courtyards and three bays, covering an area of 130 square meters and constructed with brick and wood. This site holds significant historical value for studying the development of revolutionary government structures at the county, district, and township levels in Hubei Province during the Agrarian Revolutionary War.
