Xujiahe also has China’s only Nile crocodile breeding base—Crocodile Island. Over 500 African crocodiles are raised here. Nile crocodiles have sharp mouths and teeth and are fierce by nature. Usually, they appear lazy and move slowly, but once food is introduced, they open their jaws wide and fiercely compete for it, moving as swiftly as lightning. The bloody and brutal competition for food is not only thrilling but also chilling. The romance and warmth of Peach Blossom Island, the thrill of Crocodile Island, the natural serenity of Bird Island, and the mysterious wonder of Nameless Island—Xujiahe’s 108 islands each offer endless charm.
