General's Fort Ruins

General's Fort Ruins is a cultural heritage site protected by Hubei Province.

General's Fort Ruins

General's Fort is located in Shuiguomiao Village, Xiaozidian Township, Wushengguan Development Zone, Guangshui City. According to the Tongzhi-era "Yingshan County Annals" of the Qing Dynasty: "During the Northern Song Dynasty, the great general Di Qing encamped and built this fort here while leading a southern campaign to guard the mountain pass." The site covers an area of about 10,000 square meters, with a roughly circular layout and four gates. The fort walls are built of stone, extending over 1,000 meters in length and about 1.5 meters in width, with remnants standing 3 to 6 meters high. Located at the strategic transportation junction between Hubei and Henan, the fort has always been a contested military site and serves as an important physical relic for the study of ancient military defense history.
