Jiayu Zhenhu National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

The planned area of Zhenhu National Wetland Park is located within Luxi Town, where the Lushui River meets the Yangtze River at its outlet. The park primarily encompasses the Lushui River and Zhenhu Lake, as well as surrounding areas such as Zuojin Lake and Jinhu Lake, covering a total area of 768.5 hectares.

Officials from the county’s forestry bureau explained that building Zhenhu National Wetland Park can help protect and restore the ecological system of the Lushui River, Zhenhu Lake, and the surrounding wetlands. It will effectively serve multiple ecological, economic, and social functions, such as conserving water sources, regulating floods, preserving biodiversity, and providing wetland-related products.

It is reported that the entire Zhenhu Wetland Park is divided into five functional zones: ecological conservation zone, restoration and reconstruction zone, science education zone, rational utilization zone, and management service zone. The park will be developed into a comprehensive wetland reserve integrating conservation, environmental education, scientific research, teaching practice, and youth nature education.
