Wunao Mountain Temple

Wunao Mountain Temple is a cultural relics protection unit of Hubei Province.

Also known as Ziwei Marquis Temple or Emperor Temple. Originally built during the Northern Song Dynasty, it was successively renovated during the Jiajing era of the Ming Dynasty, the Jiaqing and Tongzhi eras of the Qing Dynasty. The current structures were rebuilt in the late Qing Dynasty. Built along the mountain terrain, it faces south with its back to the north, covering an area of about 10,000 square meters, and includes structures such as the Qingxin Pavilion, the First Heavenly Gate, the Second Heavenly Gate, Ziwei Palace, Yuqing Palace, Weiling Palace, the Worship Hall, the Emperor Hall, the Patriarch Hall, the Goddess Hall, as well as the Bell Tower and Drum Tower. The main buildings all have a width of three bays, single-eave flush gable roofs with gray tiles, mixed post-and-lintel and through-tenon structural systems, and fireproof gables.
