The Wang Family Ancestral Hall in Macheng is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Wang Family Ancestral Hall

Located in Tongjianchong Village, Huangtugang Town, Macheng City. Originally built during the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty, it underwent major renovations in the early years of the Republic of China. Facing south, it features a courtyard-style layout, measuring 29.5 meters in width and 28 meters in depth. It has a single-eave, flush-gable roof covered with gray tiles and is constructed with a brick-and-wood structure. The overall layout consists of a single entrance leading to three successive sections, divided into front, middle, and rear halls, with wing rooms on both sides, and the main gate is set in the side bays of the front hall. This ancestral hall boasts an exquisitely crafted structure, comprehensive decorative craftsmanship techniques, a wide range of themes, and fine workmanship, making it a masterpiece of ancestral hall architecture in the Dabie Mountain region.
