The Fúqiáo River Hydraulic Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national hydraulic scenic area.
The Fúqiáo River Hydraulic Scenic Area in Macheng is located in Macheng City, Hubei Province, built around the Fúqiáo River Reservoir. It is a reservoir-type hydraulic scenic area. Covering an area of 94 square kilometers, the scenic area includes 50.5 square kilometers of water surface. The area features a harmonious blend of mountains and water, majestic engineering structures, and a pristine ecological environment. Over 60 islands such as Sun-Moon Island, Twin Tigers Island, Carp Island, and Peach Blossom Island are scattered across the reservoir, each with its own unique shape. There are also numerous historical and cultural sites, including Phoenix Mountain, Wujiang Ferry, Da’an Temple, Hundred-Zhang Cliff, and Zhuxian Stockade.
