Located in Houba Village, Rongmei Town, Hefeng County. In January 1929, He Long led the Fourth Red Army to liberate Hefeng and established the county’s first Soviet government, with Wu Tiansi as its chairman. The government offices were located here. The site is 18 meters wide and 26 meters deep, divided into front and rear sections with a central courtyard, featuring a flush-gable roof and a brick-and-wood structure. (Second Batch)

Rongmei Town: Historically known as Zhexi, Rongmi, or Rongyang, the area was Hanized as “Rongmei” after the implementation of the “return of native chieftainships to the central government” policy in the 13th year of the Yongzheng reign during the Qing Dynasty (1735 AD). Rongmei Town is the political, economic, and cultural center of Hefeng County. It is located at 110 degrees east longitude and 29.45 degrees north latitude, bordering Yanzi Township and Wuli Township of the same county to the east, adjacent to Sangzhi County of Hunan Province to the south, and neighboring Taiping Township and Beijia Township of the same county to the west and north. The town covers an area of 288.5 square kilometers, with the highest elevation at 1,953 meters (Cangdapingshan) and the lowest at 432 meters (Shenjiahe).
