The Hall of Loyal Admonition and Tower of Precious Plans is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhengzhou City.

The Hall of Loyal Admonition and Tower of Precious Plans (Imperial Edict Pavilion) is located in Jiezhi Hutong, west of Xiangyang Street, Xinxing Road Subdistrict, Xinzheng City. According to the 1702 *Xinzheng County Annals* from the Qing Dynasty: “The site of the Hall of Loyal Admonition and Tower of Precious Plans (supplementary record): It was built by Grand Secretary Gao Gong upon an imperial grant from Emperor Muzong of the Ming Dynasty, situated north of Dongjie Street within the city.” Mr. Gao Haiqin, the eighth-generation descendant of Gao Gong, recalled that the upper structure of the Hall of Loyal Admonition and Tower of Precious Plans was destroyed during the Qing Dynasty. During the Republican era, notable figures such as Tian Shuanglin protected the historic site by storing the dismantled bricks in the Bagua Cave. The roof and walls were entirely constructed from blue bricks, forming a domed arch structure that bulges in the center and slopes downward at the edges. The building is three bays wide (8 meters) and 7 meters deep, with a height of about 10 meters. The front features a single door, 2 meters high and 1.3 meters wide, with a wooden door frame resting on stone door sills. The wooden door has two panels, and there are stone platforms on either side of the steps in front of the door. On the central axis to the south of the Hall of Loyal Admonition stands a hall (reception room), flanked by three side rooms on the east and west, and a memorial archway to the south, corresponding to the nearby Bagua Cave. These structures are closely interconnected, forming an impressive ensemble. The Qing poet Wang Tingbi wrote in his poem *Passing by the Ruined Garden of Grand Secretary Gao in Xinzheng*: “A land once vibrant with birds and flowers, now desolate with broken bricks. The dragon robe was barely mended, the crane cloak returned to the fields. Frogs croak in the autumn moonlit pool, chickens crow in the cold smoke of alleys. How unlike Li Weiguo, whose foolish tears fell upon Pingquan.” The poem conveys the poet’s nostalgic sorrow. The residence faces Zhi Pavilion Hutong, where Gao Gong received imperial edicts.

The main structure of the Hall of Loyal Admonition and Tower of Precious Plans is a two-story building, consisting of a base, walls, and roof. The building covers an area of 56 square meters, with a base 1.20 meters high, paved with bluestone slabs. The walls and arched ceiling are built with gray-blue bricks bonded with lime. The roof is of the hip-and-gable style, covered with green glazed tiles. The eaves feature bracket sets, and the doors are latticed. The interior is spacious and bright. Today, the Hall of Loyal Admonition and Tower of Precious Plans has a history of over 400 years.
