The Gengjiatun Tomb Cluster

The Gengjiatun Tomb Cluster is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Hebei Province.

The Gengjiatun Tomb Cluster is located around Gengjiatun Village in Toubaibu Town, Huai’an County, with nine tombs, three to the north of Mowniwan Village, and four to the east of Jiuhuai’an Village, collectively referred to as the Gengjiatun Tomb Cluster.

The tomb mounds are all round in shape, varying in height from 3 to 8 meters and in diameter from 7 to 40 meters. Based on the shape of the mounds and excavation findings of similar tombs in the Yanghe River basin, this tomb cluster dates back to the Han Dynasty.

In July 1982, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural heritage protection unit by the People's Government of Hebei Province.

Gengjiatun Village: Gengjiatun Village is located southeast of the Toubaibu Town government, 2.5 kilometers from National Highway 207, with convenient transportation. Situated in a hilly mountainous area, it is a typical agricultural village where villagers’ income mainly comes from crop farming. The village has 1,553 mu of arable land, including 1,400 mu of irrigated land. It has a total of 170 households and 513 residents, with 120 households and 380 permanent residents.
