Xidayaya Site

The Xidayaya Site is a cultural heritage preservation unit of Hebei Province.

The Xidayaya Site is located about 600 meters southwest of Liangmengou Village, Dukoubao Township, Huai’an County. The site stretches approximately 300 meters from north to south and about 500 meters from east to west, covering an area of 150,000 square meters.

The site is now used as farmland, with numerous ash stains and fragmented pottery pieces visible on the surface. The pottery is mainly made of gray clay, followed by gray pottery mixed with sand, along with small amounts of polished black pottery and sand-mixed brown pottery. The surface decorations are predominantly blue-patterned, followed by rope patterns and plain surfaces. The pottery was primarily handcrafted, with identifiable vessel types including li tripods, ?small⒐蕖⒑小⑴獭２杉?搅郊?甘?骱鸵患?ブ撇惺?啤

Based on the shapes and features of the pottery and stone tools, the site contains artifacts from both the Neolithic Age and the Warring States Period.

In July 1993, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural heritage preservation unit by the People’s Government of Hebei Province.

Liangmengou Village: Liangmengou Village is located 6 kilometers west of ChaiGouBao, the county seat of Huai’an County, and 4 kilometers east of the township government. The village has a registered population of 564 households, totaling 1,883 people, and a current resident population of 457 households, totaling 1,580 people. Among them, there are 105 registered impoverished households with 161 people. By the end of 2018, the poverty incidence rate in the village was 2.65%. The village was lifted out of poverty (or planned to be) in 2006. The village’s two committees were re-elected in 2018, consisting of four cadres, with Niu Junlin serving as the village Party secretary. There are 66 Party members in the village.
