Shilingtou Site

The Shilingtou Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Henan Province.

Also known as Shilongtou Site, the Shilingtou Site is located in Shilongtou Village, about 3 kilometers east of Lushi County. It was designated as a provincial-level cultural heritage protection unit on June 20, 1963.

According to the Lushi County Annals, the Shilingtou Site spans 400 meters from north to south and 200 meters from east to west, with a cultural layer 3 to 4 meters thick and rich in content. Part of the site was damaged during the construction of terraced fields and the Luobei Canal, but most of it remains relatively well-preserved. It is a Neolithic site that provides valuable insights into the Yangshao, Longshan, and Xia Dynasty cultures.
