The Shi Family Courtyard in Wengguan Village is located in Yangmeihe Village, Guandaokou Town, Lushi County. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty. The Shi Family Courtyard is listed as part of the seventh batch of cultural heritage conservation units in Henan Province.

The Shi Family Courtyard is situated in Wengguan Natural Village, Yangmeihe Village, Guandaokou Town, Lushi County, surrounded by mountains. Guandaokou Town, formerly known as “Zunxian Li,” was a vital section of the ancient official route that connected Nanyang and Xiangyang to Luoyang and Shanzhou, serving as a well-known mountain pass along the thoroughfare. Wengguan Village lies adjacent to the ancient post road from Lushi to Luoyang. The existing Shi Family Courtyard is a Qing Dynasty residential complex built for officials and wealthy families. Covering an area of over 30 acres, it consists of five courtyards with a total of 128 rooms, 96 of which remain well-preserved. The once grand Upper Garden has been destroyed. The overall layout of the courtyard is rigorous, with exquisitely crafted window lattices and carvings. To this day, one can still clearly see wood carvings of figures, flowers and birds, shrines, and mythical beasts on doors and window frames. The entire compound features majestic architecture and a classic, elegant style. In July last year, the Shi Family Courtyard was included in the first list of traditional villages in Henan Province.
