Site of the Former Central Bank of the Kuomintang: During the Anti-Japanese War, the Central Bank of the Kuomintang was relocated to Yaogou Village, and many provincial government agencies followed suit. They operated and lodged in the Huyan Courtyard, bustling with traffic and alive with voices—the small village enjoyed great prestige and glory at the time. When the bank withdrew, some machinery and semi-finished products were buried on-site, and locals occasionally unearth remnants from those times while building houses or plowing fields.

Wenyu Township: Wenyu gets its name from Confucius having lectured here and the establishment of a Confucian temple. It is a land of natural bounty and talented people. To the east lies the site where Lu Ao refined elixirs, which is the origin of the name “Lu” for the county; to the west is the Shuangmiao Reservoir, a high-walled lake where a long dragon seems to lie at anchor; to the south stands the Bao’du Stronghold, a strategic barrier with beautiful scenery; in the center is the Shuiyu River Grand Canyon, with towering cliffs and only a sliver of sky visible; to the north is Liulin Ancient Ferry and the bell sounds of the South Temple, serving as the gateway to Wenyu. The township covers a total area of 237 square kilometers, governs 32 administrative villages, has 7,748 households, a population of 29,369, and cultivated land area of 34,384 mu.
