Former Residence of Cao Jinghua

The former residence of Cao Jinghua was built in the late Qing Dynasty and is located at Lugoukou, Henan Village, Wulichuan Town, Lushi County. Its architecture is a highly representative combination-style courtyard of earthen and wooden structures typical of rural northern China. The residence has two gates, and the entire compound consists of fourteen rooms: four main rooms, three wing rooms on each of the east and west sides, and two east and two west side rooms outside the second gate.

Wulichuan Town: Wulichuan Town is located in the western part of Henan Province, over 100 kilometers from Sanmenxia City. Both National Highway 209 and Provincial Road X (ia) T (iesuo Pass) pass through the town, making transportation very convenient. It serves as the economic, cultural, and transportation hub for seven towns and villages in the southwestern region of Lushi County. The town government is situated 52 kilometers from the county seat. To the east, it borders Tanghe and Zhuyangguan; to the west, it neighbors Shuanghuai Shu and Shiziping townships; to the south, it adjoins Wayagou Township; and to the north, it is bordered by Hengjian Township along the Xiong’er Mountain Ridge—Laojieling.
