Lushi Shimen Mountain Scenic Area

Shimen Mountain Scenic Area is located in Jinqiaogou Village, Guandaokou Town, about 4 kilometers from National Highway 209 and over 40 kilometers from the Longhai Railway and Lianyungang–Khorgas Expressway. It faces the Yuxi Grand Canyon Scenic Area to the north and south, and is separated only by Tayashan Forest Park. The scenic area stretches 6 kilometers in length and covers a total area of 18 square kilometers. Shimen Mountain gets its name from its gate-like appearance. Inside the mountain, the canyons are uniquely shaped, as if carved by nature’s hand, with steep cliffs and jagged rocks. Waterfalls cascade through the valley, streams babble gently, and the river water is crystal clear—calm as a hanging silk ribbon, swift as scattered pearls, and thunderous as pouring torrents. The water and rocks complement each other, creating a picturesque scene. The scenic area features a harmonious blend of mountains and waters, with numerous attractions. There are cliffside plank walks, rock climbing on sheer cliffs, slides in the valleys, hanging bridges in the air, small bridges over flowing water, autumn bridge rides, a swing park, and a variety of leisure and entertainment options. Shimen Mountain offers magical and distinctive scenery that captivates visitors and leaves them lingering with joy.

Guandaokou Town: Guandaokou Town is located at the northern end of Lushi County. It covers an area of 209 square kilometers and has a population of 21,696 people (2017). It administers 19 administrative villages (three of which have been merged), including Guandaokou, Lingnan, Qiulianghe, Baijiafang, Jiangcao, Yongdu, Zhaishang, Gengjiazhuang, Jinjiagou, Gengjia, Zhuangke, Xinping, Sanguanmiao, Guojianai, Moshang, Daling, Chejialing, Yangmeihe, and Heiniu, along with 185 villager groups.
