The ruins of the Chu Great Wall in Tongbai County are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Henan Province.

Ruins of the Chu Great Wall in Tongbai County (including beacon towers): Dating back to the Warring States period, these are located in Zhuzhuang Township, Dahe Town, Chengjiao Township, Anpeng Town, and Pingshi Town.

According to historical records, Tongbai was under the jurisdiction of the Chu Kingdom during the Warring States period. The existing ruins of the Chu Great Wall in the county are scattered across areas such as Dahe Town, Chengjiao Township, Huaiyuan Town, and Anpeng Town. These structures were mainly built from irregularly stacked stones. The Chu Great Wall was constructed along the natural contours of the mountains, taking advantage of terrain that was easy to defend but difficult to attack. To this day, remnants such as some city gates, passes, fortresses, and ancient pathways can still be found, offering significant research and sightseeing value. It is reported that local cultural relics authorities have excavated artifacts from the Warring States period near the Chu Great Wall. Local villagers herding cattle have also discovered cold weapons such as stone axes and bronze swords. Furthermore, these ancient walls played an important military role during both the Chinese Civil War and the Liberation War.
