Former Site of the Hubei-Henan Border Provincial Committee of the CPC (Zhalou)

The former site of the Hubei-Henan Border Provincial Committee of the CPC (Zhalou) is a cultural relic protection unit of Henan Province.

The former site of the Hubei-Henan Border Provincial Committee of the CPC is located in Zhalou Village, 60 kilometers northeast of Tongbai County and 7.5 kilometers southeast of Huilong Township. In 1935, the Hubei-Henan Border Provincial Committee and the guerrilla forces of the Tongbai Mountain area in southern Henan were stationed here. In September 1938, the Xintong County Committee of the CPC was established here, with Wang Zuxuan as the secretary, later succeeded by Wen Mingsheng. In 1943, the Xintong County Committee, government, and armed forces were all based here.

The site currently consists of a tiled courtyard. The three-room western building on the second floor was the meeting place at that time. The northern section includes a three-room building, while the three rooms to the east of the gate tower no longer exist. To the west of the gate tower are three thatched cottages.
