Situated within the Funiu Mountain, a UNESCO Global Geopark, the field spans 3.5 square kilometers at an elevation of 1,400–1,800 meters, making it one of China’s famous large alpine wetland ski resorts. The area features well-preserved vegetation, primitive and rustic landscapes, and outstanding natural conditions. Its distinctive climate supports a four-season tourism model: “admire yellow willows and willows in spring, escape the heat in summer, view red leaves in autumn, and ski in winter.” In spring, the resort focuses on enjoying the yellow willows and scenic views, while summer, autumn, and winter offer a variety of fashionable and leisure sports activities.

Facing the “First Peak of Central Plains” Qijiao Peak, visitors can enjoy the sea of clouds and watch the sunrise, with the majestic presence of Funiu Mountain spread out before their eyes.

The ski resort is just 150 kilometers from Nanyang. Provincial Highway Yu 51 and National Highway 311 run through the area, providing very convenient transportation. The maximum summer temperature reaches 22°C, while the lowest winter temperature drops to -10°C. The snow accumulation period lasts from late November to late March each year, with snow depth exceeding 60 centimeters and high-quality snow, creating a unique alpine snowfield spectacle in Central Plains.

The resort is equipped with 1,500 sets of world-renowned ski equipment, eight imported high-end mobile snowmaking machines, and four standard tourist ski slopes categorized into beginner, intermediate, advanced, and snow tubing runs, covering a total snowmaking area of 100,000 square meters. It can accommodate 2,000 people skiing simultaneously and 4,000 people engaging in snow entertainment activities at the same time. The largest multi-functional ski hall spans over 2,000 square meters and imports snow tubing and sledding facilities from Europe, offering more than 10 snow play activities.

In summer, the ski resort cultivates 100,000 square meters of alpine grassland, forming a large-scale alpine meadow. With 600 sets of imported grass skiing equipment, it has become one of China’s major alpine wetland grass skiing fields. Featuring 15 alpine grassland recreational activities such as grass sleds, grass off-road vehicles, grass hovercrafts, zip lines, and zorbing, it serves as a large-scale grassland sports and amusement park, enriching and completing the four-season tourism offerings of spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
