Xizhong Park

Xizhong Park is located in the western part of Pingyu County, adjacent to Zhuxin Road to the north, and bordered by the Xiaoqing River to the west and south. It covers an area of 368 acres, including a 18-acre Crescent Lake and a 45-acre Ruyi Lake. The total investment was 28 million yuan, with a greening rate of 80.42% and a paved area ratio of 18%. The park broke ground in December 2007 as a comprehensive, modern-style urban park built to complement the western district of the city. It embodies the spirit of Pingyu—perseverance, progress, and innovation—as its cultural core. The park is divided into seven functional zones with 29 scenic spots, including a colorful plaza near Zhuxin Road, a graceful and magnificent musical fountain, a performance courtyard showcasing artistic talent, an evening leisure garden for seniors, and a children’s playground called Little Feet Paradise. The park also features undulating terrain, which enhances its landscaping elements, creates layered scenery, and adds to its artistic charm.
