Yuxin Square

Yuxin Square in Pingyu County is situated on the west side of the county town and was constructed in July 2002. It spans a total area of 114,100 m² with a total investment of 3.5 million yuan. The granite central square covers 7,890 m², the smaller western square occupies 1,970 m², and the entrance square takes up 1,850 m². The paved road area is 1,566 m², bringing the total paved area to 27,284 m². Green spaces account for 30.3% of the total area, primarily consisting of lawns complemented by landscaping plants such as red-leaf barberry, golden euonymus, nandina, cedar, dragon spruce, magnolia, purple magnolia, white magnolia, osmanthus, ginkgo, photinia, dragon claw locust, pagoda tree, koelreuteria, silk tree, and populus × canadensis. The square's lighting system includes both high-mast lights and decorative fireworks-style lamps. Fountains and sculptures are strategically placed throughout, creating a harmonious and delightful atmosphere. Once completed, the square presents a vibrant scene where flowers and lawns complement each other, sculptures and trees enhance one another, winding paths lead to serene spots, streams murmur gently, colorful lights twinkle, and fountains spray floral arcs. It has become a splendid cultural landmark in Pingyu.
