Yixin Garden

Yixin Garden is located in the southeastern part of the county town, at the intersection of Xingyu Avenue and Yongdao Avenue, covering an area of 40.6 mu. Greening and paved areas account for 79% and 21% of the total area, respectively.

The garden was planned and designed by the Planning and Design Institute of Zhengzhou University and completed in May 2006. Its overall style reflects the cart and chariot culture of Pingyu. The main sculpture located at the heart of the garden features murals on its four sides—“Er Xu Recommends Scholars,” “Chen Fan Finds Inspiration,” “Xi Zhong Invents the Chariot,” and “Tai Gong Teaches His Son”—each representing the long-standing historical and cultural heritage of Pingyu County. The four themed gardens representing spring, summer, autumn, and winter, composed respectively of winter jasmine, century plant, osmanthus, and wintersweet, are arranged in a well-balanced layout across the four directions. To the north lies a dense grove of trees, to the west a stand of tall bamboos, while the southeast features the “Building Harmony Together” sculpture and the “Carp Leaping Over the Dragon Gate,” all symbolizing the harmonious life of Pingyu’s people, an abundant life year after year, and continuous improvement. Colorful Chinese knot lights, palm tree lights, lawn lights, and outdoor sound systems create unique highlights. Scattered throughout are rugged stones and artistic ornaments, complemented by pavilions and water features that add to the charm. Rolling hills, carpet-like lawns, vibrant flowers, and winding pavilions and corridors make a stroll through the garden a truly delightful experience.

Yixin Garden is a tangible effort by our county to advance urbanization, improve living environments, elevate urban quality, and drive rapid economic development. With a total investment of 2 million yuan, not a single cent came from government funds, resident contributions, or institutional donations—all finances were sourced from the profits of urban land management. Thus, it also stands as a successful example of our county's approach to sustaining the city through land use and building the city through urban development.
