The ruins of Gaotai Temple are a protected cultural heritage site of Henan Province.

The ruins of Gaotai Temple are located about 100 meters east of Lizhuang in Fengzhuang Village, Fanghu Town, northwest of the county seat. They were discovered during the 1978 cultural relics survey.

The site consists of gray soil accumulations with a raised central area that stands 2–5 meters above the ground. The site spans approximately 100 meters from east to west and 98 meters from north to south, with a cultural layer about 3 meters thick. A small stream surrounds the site. Artifacts found and collected on the surface include polished stone axes, stone adzes, numerous sand-tempered pottery shards, deer antlers, and clam shells. The pottery shards are mostly gray clay-sand pottery, with vessel types including ding (tripods), li (tripod cauldrons), bowls, and jars. Decorative patterns feature wavy lines, cord marks, and appliqué ridges. This is a late Neolithic site. In 1982, the county government designated it as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit and erected an explanatory sign. In June 2006, the Henan Provincial People's Government declared the site a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit, which remains well preserved today.

The protected area and construction control zone of the Gaotai Temple ruins: Starting from the edge of the entire site plateau, the core protected area extends 20 meters east, west, south, and north. The construction control zone extends an additional 30 meters outward in all four directions from the boundary of the core protected area.

Fengzhuang Village: Fengzhuang Village comprises 17 villager groups, with a total of 561 households, a population of 3,650, and 53 Party members. The village covers a total area of 4,393 mu, including 4,300 mu of arable land. High-quality wheat is planted on 3,700 mu, high-quality peanuts on 2,800 mu, and soybeans, corn, sesame, and other crops on about 1,600 mu.
