Yantai Joy City is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Yantai Joy City is the first commercial complex developed by COFCO Joy City in a quasi-tier-two city. The project is located at the intersection of Harbor Road and Beima Road in Zhifu District, Yantai, adjacent to Zhifu Bay. It occupies the only seaside plot in Yantai’s commercial center, boasting a prime location, convenient transportation, and high foot traffic. On this “crown jewel,” Joy City has created the nation’s first coastal-themed shopping mall. Opened with great fanfare on July 6, 2014, Yantai Joy City is positioned as a coastal fashion lifestyle center. The underground level features a large supermarket and a lifestyle market; the second and third underground levels provide over a thousand parking spaces; floors 1–3 house numerous international fashion brands and top-tier designer outlets; floor 4 is home to a 5-star cinema; floors 5–6 are dedicated to dining; and floor 7 features the themed rooftop garden Ai Yue Wan (Love & Joy Bay). The project promotes five brand identities: “Coastal Theme,” “Fashion Harbor,” “Foodie Paradise,” “Kids’ Fun Zone,” and “Trendy Playground,” delivering cutting-edge, trend-driven lifestyle experiences and enriching the leisure and entertainment options in the port city. It offers consumers front-row views of the ocean, flagship stores of six major fast-fashion brands, a global culinary journey, an IMAX theater, and a family-friendly children’s edutainment park, among other new retail and lifestyle experiences. At the same time, the project innovatively integrates the advantage of sea views into its commercial planning, maximizing the scenic value of the bay. By organically combining the simple beauty of the waterfront with boutique restaurants, quality cafés, artistic bookstores, and vibrant fashion outlets, it creates a uniquely dazzling vitality.
