Yantai's Opening-up Exhibition Hall

Won the "Best Content Design Award" in the Fifth National Top Ten Exhibition Excellence Selection. The exhibition hall covers a total area of 820 square meters and is divided into four sections: Yantai Before Its Opening-up, Yantai’s Forced Opening-up, the Beginning of Yantai’s Modernization, and the People’s Struggle. The hall displays over a hundred precious historical artifacts and photographs, recreating the darkness of Yantai’s semi-colonial and semi-feudal society under imperialist domination and the tyranny of the reactionary Kuomintang. By comprehensively presenting this historical background and social environment, the exhibition highlights the glorious history of the military and civilians of eastern Shandong as they fought bravely against imperialism, feudalism, and bureaucratic capitalism, resisted both domestic and foreign enemies, and struggled for national independence and the freedom and happiness of the people. It also showcases the earliest rise, the magnificent and arduous, and the movingly heroic chapters of the red culture of eastern Shandong. It serves as an important site for inheriting revolutionary traditions, promoting historical culture, and cultivating the national spirit.
