Wangkuai Reservoir Scenic Area

The Wangkuai Reservoir Scenic Area is located 20 kilometers from Quyang County and 15 kilometers from the Ling Mountain Julong Cave. It is the second-largest reservoir in Hebei Province, with a water surface area of about 14 square kilometers during years of abundant water. The scenic area offers supporting facilities such as the Wangkuai Reservoir Hotel, pleasure boats, and speedboats. The northern and southern sides of the reservoir are flanked by continuous green mountains and lush forests, creating a pleasant environment. The reservoir water is of high quality, meeting national Class II water standards, where fish leap and shrimp swim, and waterfowl call and fly. It is a paradise for fishing, hunting, summer retreats, and convalescence. The surrounding area features historic sites and scenic spots such as the Kangxi Fishing Platform, Shuanglong Cave, Laojun Hall, Nainai Temple, and Chi Peak, all steeped in fascinating legends.
