The Quyang Fishing Terrace Site is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Fishing Terrace Site

The Fishing Terrace Site is located 1.5 kilometers west of Diantou Village in Xiaolin Township, on the eastern bank of the Sha River. It is commonly known as the Fishing Terrace due to a mound that was suitable for fishing, hence the name of the site. The central part of the mound stands 4.8 meters high, and the site stretches 380 meters from east to west. The cultural layer is generally 0.4–0.6 meters deep, and the terrain slopes from southeast to northwest.

The site contains ash pits and layers of red burned soil mixed with grass. Exposed artifacts include stone tools, bone and horn implements, as well as numerous fragments of red pottery and painted pottery. Artifacts such as bowls, basins, cups, large-mouthed jars, and small-necked pots indicate it was a settlement of a relatively large clan village. It was discovered by local residents in 1950. It is inferred to date back to the Yangshao Culture, approximately 3,000–5,000 years ago. On May 25, 2006, it was designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
