Qingxu Mountain Scenic Area
The Qingxu Mountain Scenic Area is located 35 kilometers north of Tang County and 70 kilometers west of Baoding. Known historically as Ge Hong Mountain after the patriarch of Taoism, it has long been a sacred site of Taoism in North China and remains an active place of religious activity. The mountain features towering peaks covered in lush greenery that pierce the sky, shrouded in mist and veiled in purple haze. Temples and monasteries are scattered across the landscape like stars. The Qingxu Temple Fair, renowned across Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong, and Henan, originated in the Yuan Dynasty and flourished during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and remains vibrant to this day with continuous incense offerings.
