The Jin-Cha-Ji Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural heritage site protected by Hebei Province and a classic red tourism destination.

The Jin-Cha-Ji Martyrs' Cemetery is located in Nanguan Village, Juncheng Town, Tang County. It is said that this site was once a military drilling ground where the Song Dynasty general Yang Liulang reviewed his troops. Covering a total area of 67 mu, the cemetery sits against towering ancient city ruins, borders the historic Tongtian River to the east, and is surrounded by mountains. Lush trees and rows of tombstones dot the serene landscape, creating exceptionally beautiful scenery. Originally established as the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region during wartime, construction began in February 1940. At that time, amid fierce warfare, scarce supplies, and enemy harassment, the military and civilians of the border region overcame unimaginable difficulties and completed the project in just over a year. However, in 1941, the cemetery suffered two severe attacks by the enemy, which destroyed key structures such as the memorial tower. In 1942, the border region’s military and civilians carried out repairs during lulls in fighting. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Party and government allocated special funds for multiple renovations and expansions, resulting in a well-structured, harmonious complex where graves and forests complement each other—thus officially named the Jin-Cha-Ji Martyrs' Cemetery. The cemetery faces east with its back to the west, centered around the Tomb of Norman Bethune along the central axis. To the south lies the Tomb of Dwarkanath Kotnis, and to the north is the Tomb of Qiong You'en. Along the axis are the Martyrs’ Cemetery and the ruins of the Monument to the Martyrs of the War of Resistance in the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region. The Jin-Cha-Ji Martyrs' Cemetery is both a sacred resting place for loyal heroes and a site for people to pay tribute to the fallen. Visitors come in an endless stream to mourn, pay respects, and participate in commemorative activities. Relatives of Bethune and Kotnis, as well as friends from Canada, India, the United States, North Korea, Japan, and other countries, often visit to pay their respects and tour the site. Veteran proletarian revolutionaries such as Yang Chengwu and Lü Zhengcao have revisited the cemetery. In April 1986, the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee visited the cemetery, paid homage, and planted a tree in commemoration.
