Yandunjiao is located in Liyedao Town, Rongcheng City, Shandong Province. During the Ming Dynasty, a smoke beacon was built atop the mountain, from which the village gets its name.

Yandunjiao is a picturesque fishing village nestled between mountains and the sea. Every year from November to March, thousands of wild whooper swans migrate from faraway Siberia to spend the winter here. Humans and swans coexist harmoniously, adding a beautiful sight to the beach and bringing endless vitality to the lovely bay... Thanks to the locals' conscious efforts to protect the birds, the swans have developed a strong bond with the villagers. This harmonious home shared by humans and birds attracts both professional photographers and passionate photography enthusiasts.

At Yandunjiao, you can capture swans using a wide-angle lens. The closest the swans get to people is just a few meters away. In this pollution-free and hunting-free harmonious world, the swans show no fear of humans, swimming and foraging gracefully and nobly, occasionally chasing each other playfully, singing loudly, or dancing elegantly.

Transportation

After exiting the Weihai Expressway, follow the coastal highway in the direction of the signs for “Xixiakou Zoo” and “Tianjintou.” About ten kilometers before reaching the zoo, turn right (south) towards Chengshan Town. Once in Chengshan Town, ask for directions to “Yandunjiao.”
