Whale Museum

The Whale Museum is an exhibition hall located within the marine animal area of the ShenDiao Mountain Wildlife Park. It houses a massive sperm whale specimen weighing over 50 tons, delivering a powerful visual impact. The museum also features exhibits on marine environments, whale behavior, and related knowledge, making it a great educational venue to visit with children.

The Whale Museum is situated at the very back of the Liugong Island Expo Park. It displays the largest skeleton, skin, and partial organs of a sperm whale, which I found quite impressive. There’s also a baleen whale specimen on the third floor where you can learn about the differences between toothed and baleen whales, as well as their lifestyles. Animal lovers should definitely check it out.

Transportation

Take a short-distance bus from Weihai Bus Station bound for “Weihai–Chengshantou,” which will take you directly to the scenic area. The journey takes 1 to 1.5 hours, with buses departing every 30 minutes.
