The Dongdun Seagrass Houses are a Shandong Provincial cultural heritage site.

The Dongdun Seagrass Houses are located in Ningjin Subdistrict, Rongcheng City, dating from the Qing Dynasty to the People's Republic of China.

On June 23, 2015, the Dongdun Seagrass Houses were designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the Shandong Provincial People's Government.

Ningjin Subdistrict: Ningjin is situated in the southeast of Rongcheng City, at the easternmost tip of the Jiaodong Peninsula, bordered by sea on the north, east, and south. It covers a land area of 68 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 45 administrative villages, 5 community neighborhood committees, 1 urban neighborhood committee, and a total population of 22,500.

Ningjin is an eco-friendly coastal town with a coastline stretching over 110 Chinese miles. The Shidao Administrative Region where Ningjin is located is one of Shandong Province’s key gateways for opening up to the outside world.
