Xiaosi Site

The Xiaosi Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Linyi City.

The Xiaosi Site is located northeast of Xiaosi Village, Shimen Town, Linshu County. It dates back to the Shang, Zhou, Han, and Song dynasties, and is categorized as an ancient site.

The Xiaosi Site is among the third batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units.

Shimen Town: Shimen Town is situated in the southern part of Linshu County, at the junction of three counties across Shandong and Jiangsu provinces. It covers an area of 128.3 square kilometers, governs 29 administrative villages (streets) comprising 75 natural villages, and has a population of 53,000. It is one of the key towns in southern Shandong and northern Jiangsu. In 1995, it was honored as a “Famous Town of the Huaihai Economic Zone,” and in 1996, it was named a “New-Type Township of Shandong Province” by the Shandong Provincial Government. Provincial Highway S225 runs north–south through the town, providing very convenient transportation. The eastern part is mainly plains, while the western part features more hills, with 6,667 hectares of arable land. Traditional crops include wheat, corn, peanuts, and sweet potatoes.
