The park is located to the west of Qianlicheng Village, Jiaolong Town, Linshu County, bordered by National Highway 327 to the south and situated along the Licheng River, forming a connected water system with the Shiliang River. Nestled among lush bamboo, the site presents a harmonious and picturesque scene, serving as an important red education base for instilling revolutionary traditions and patriotic values among young people. The park covers an area of 20 mu, including 1,400 square meters of built-up space, featuring four antique-style buildings and one exhibition hall, totaling 67 rooms, with a total investment of 2.96 million yuan. The site is open to visitors free of charge.
The entire memorial park is divided into three sections:
The first is the Monument Square. The monument stands at the southern end of the square, with a base measuring 1.9 meters in length and the main body rising 4.1 meters high. The red stone-paved square is 6 meters wide, with the total width spanning 28 meters, symbolizing the founding date of Xinhua News Agency on June 28, 1941.
The second is the former site of Xinhua News Agency. Passing through a dense bamboo grove from the square, you will arrive at the former site, which includes four antique-style buildings with a total of 47 rooms. Courtyard No. 1 and No. 2 each have 13 rooms, Courtyard No. 3 has 11 rooms, and Courtyard No. 4 has 10 rooms, totaling 47 rooms. Excluding the two rooms by the entrance gatehouse in each courtyard (a total of 6 rooms), the site is divided into 11 exhibition rooms: 4 main exhibition rooms (the central rooms of each courtyard, 5 rooms each, totaling 20 rooms), 7 side exhibition rooms (Courtyards No. 1, 2, and 3 each have 2 side rooms, totaling 18 rooms), and Courtyard No. 4 has 1 side room with 3 rooms.
The third is the Licheng River Basin. A water-retaining dam has been constructed here, creating a water surface of 10,000 square meters, which enhances the classic charm of the historic buildings of the former Shandong Branch of Xinhua News Agency situated by the river. The understated, solemn, meticulous, and pragmatic architectural style and design philosophy give the site an elegant, profound, and dignified appearance. The park features lush bamboo groves, shaded poplar trees, and gatherings of birds, offering beautiful natural scenery.
