Memorial Monument to the Battle of Nanbei Daiyu

The Memorial Monument to the Battle of Nanbei Daiyu is a cultural tourism attraction and a classic red tourism site.

The two "Battles of Nanbei Daiyu" during the Anti-Japanese War in 1943 and the Liberation War in 1947 were famous battles in China’s military history where a smaller force triumphed over a larger one. To commemorate the victories, further promote the Yimeng Spirit, honor the great achievements of revolutionary martyrs, and strengthen education on revolutionary traditions and patriotism, the Battle of Daiyu Memorial Monument was erected in 2013 at the battle site of Nanbei Daiyu. The inscription on the monument records the historical context of both battles and the heroic deeds of our soldiers during the fierce fighting. The monument is situated within a double-layered Yingkai Pavilion. The main body of the monument is made of bluestone, standing 1.943 meters tall, symbolizing the first Battle of Daiyu which took place in 1943.
