The Yimeng Diamond National Mine Park (Mengshan Kimberlite Diamond Mine Scenic Area) is a science education base.

The Mengshan Kimberlite Diamond Mine Scenic Area is situated at the northern foot of Mengshan Mountain. Built around the world-renowned, earliest-established, longest-operating, and currently still active primary diamond mine in China — Building Materials Mine 701 — it is honored as the “Diamond Capital of China.” It is a base for popular science education in land and resources, an open-air scientific observation and research base for primary diamond mines, a national pilot site for green mines, and the only diamond mine park in China.

This was once a national key project personally reviewed by Chairman Mao Zedong, personally overseen by Premier Zhou Enlai, and personally directed by General [Name Redacted]. It has produced five national treasure-level diamonds and extracted 1.8 million carats of diamonds, making outstanding contributions to the defense, aviation, and aerospace industries of New China.

The scenic area houses the world’s largest diamond-themed museum, where you can explore the rarity, nobility, uniqueness, and mystery of diamonds through high-tech means such as audiovisual simulations. Here you’ll find Asia’s largest open-pit diamond mining pit, which is spectacular and highly impressive both visually and geologically, making it an excellent destination for science tourism. There is also a diamond observation production line and a treasure hunt park, allowing you to witness and experience the diamond production process firsthand and even participate in a self-guided treasure hunt to find your own diamond. The area also features Asia’s largest and most influential wedding photography base — Diamond International Dream City, with a construction area of over 12,000 square meters and more than 100 themed scenes. The outdoor shooting base spans 30 square kilometers and is planted with over 40 types of flowers, including lavender, verbena, and cosmos, blooming in three seasons a year, offering you the romance of strolling through a sea of flowers. A tropical rainforest greenhouse studio solves the problem of seasonal restrictions in wedding photography.
