Shilong Bay Wetland Tourism Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The core area of the Shilong Bay Wetland Tourism Area project covers a total of approximately 6,000 acres, with an estimated total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. The project is divided into two phases. The first phase, covering around 3,000 acres, focuses on wetland restoration, agricultural industry development, and tourism sightseeing, aiming to build an agro-tourism pastoral complex characterized mainly by wetland ecology. The second phase covers 3,000 acres and focuses on the development and construction of shared holiday cottages, the Yunmeng Lake Leisure Station antique commercial street, the Colorful Pastoral retirement and wellness community, and the Waldorf International School project. It aims to create an ecological wellness pastoral complex that integrates ecology, production, and living. The project planning and design are based on the beautiful ecological environment of Yunmeng Lake, integrating multiple industrial elements such as agriculture, culture and tourism, wellness, and education. While fully protecting the ecological environment of the water source area, it is planned to include ten functional zones (Visitor Service Area, Catering and Accommodation Service Area, Colorful Pastoral Wellness Area, Cultural and Folklore Experience Area, Entertainment and Adventure Area, Wedding Photography Area, Agricultural Connectivity – Colorful Town Reception Demonstration Area, Water Source Protection and Wetland Conservation Exhibition and Education Area, Youth Study Demonstration Area, and Shared Holiday Cottage Experience Area), with emphasis on developing three islands (Fresh Island, Clear Cloud Island, and Tranquil Island), six centers (Comprehensive Visitor Service Center, Conference Service Center, Yunmeng Lake Water Source Protection and Ecological Protection Exhibition and Education Center, Wetland Bird Protection Center, Yunmeng Lake High-Quality Fish Breeding and Aquaculture Research Center, and Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and Experience Center), and eighteen core themed landscapes (Water Show Light Theater, Peach Blossom Spring Food Court, Colorful Pastoral, Wild Cabin Tent Hotel, Kids’ Playground, Crescent Moon Bridge, Shilong Academy, Carefree Village, Plum Culture Garden, Bamboo Culture Garden, Rhythmic Waters and Endless Sky, Metasequoia Flower Sea, Rose Flower Sea, Parent-Child Farm, Bird-Watching Tower, Reed Marsh Surprise, Yacht Dock, and Yunmeng Lake Leisure Station). Once completed, the project will effectively drive the development of agriculture, tourism, wellness, and education industries in Mengyin County, boosting the overall county economy. At the same time, it will provide nearly 1,000 job opportunities, addressing employment issues for the reservoir area population, especially those in poverty, and helping surrounding residents achieve prosperity, increased production, and higher income.

Yunmeng Lake, located 10 kilometers east of Mengyin County, is the second largest artificial lake in Shandong Province and an important ecological water source for Linyi City. The Shilong Bay Pastoral Complex is situated in the southwestern part of the Yunmeng Lake Ecological Zone in Mengyin County, Shandong Province. The scenic area enjoys prominent geographical advantages, with superior location and convenient transportation. It is 20 kilometers from the Mengyin exit, 13 kilometers from the Menglianggu exit, 85 kilometers from Linyi Airport, and is adjacent to National Highway 205 and Provincial Road 336.
