Zibo Ancient Chariots Museum of China is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.

Horses and chariots were the main land transportation vehicles in ancient China. The craft of making chariots was a comprehensive handicraft industry. Ancient Chinese chariots were long among the best in the world due to their superior performance. The stirrup, an extremely important component of horse tack used for riding, was also first invented in China. In this regard, China made tremendous contributions to human civilization.

The Linzi Ancient Chariots Museum of China is located in Houliguanzhuang, Qiling Town, Linzi District, built on the site of the Houli Culture ruins. It is the first museum in contemporary China that is the most systematic and complete, integrating the display of chariot and horse ruins with cultural relics.

The museum was planned in 1991 and completed in September 1994. It covers an area of 20 acres with a construction area of 3,600 square meters, including two sections: the Spring and Autumn Chariots and Horses Exhibition Hall and the Ancient Chariots Exhibition Hall of China.

The Spring and Autumn Horse Sacrificial Pit contains 10 war chariots and 32 horses. Its large scale, complete set-up, and exquisite horse ornaments rank first in the country and are listed among the top ten archaeological discoveries in China. The Ancient Chariots Exhibition Hall displays various types of chariots unearthed from the Houli Chariot and Horse Pit, restored ancient chariots unearthed from the Linzi area, and even restored ancient chariots from across the country. It brings together the culmination of research on ancient Chinese chariots and showcases the essence of historical carriages from different dynasties, fully demonstrating the long history of Chinese chariots and the leading position of Chinese chariot-making technology in the global development of vehicles.
