Bangchui Liu Site

The Bangchui Liu Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Bangchui Liu Site has a long history, a lengthy evolution, and rich cultural significance. Artifacts unearthed include shell knives, stone sickles, bone needles, and bone awls from the Longshan Culture period; sandy pottery li tripod feet, li tripod rims from the Shang and Zhou dynasties; as well as dou handles, li tripods, and gui vessels from the Warring States period. The site is located in Bangchui Liu Village, Shuoluo Town, Yangxin County, and was designated as part of the second batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in June 1992.

Shuoluo Town: Shuoluo Town is located in the southeastern part of Yangxin County and is named after the town government’s location in Shuoluo. It borders Bincheng District to the east, Zhanhua County to the north, connects with Laodian Town and Shangdian Town to the west, and neighbors Huimin County to the south. It serves as the eastern gateway to Yangxin, linking the Shandong Peninsula with the economically developed regions of Beijing and Tianjin. The town administers 125 administrative villages and 129 natural villages, covering a total area of 132 square kilometers, with 98,000 mu of arable land and a population of 58,000. Bin-Yang Road runs through the entire town, National Highway 205 passes through the area, and it houses the only highway exit of the Binzhou-Bohai Expressway within Yangxin County.
