The Yellow River Delta Eco-Cultural Tourism Island, abbreviated as Yellow River Island, is located in the hinterland of the Yellow River Delta, in the northeast of Wudi County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province. It borders the Bohai Sea and lies along the ancient course of the Yellow River, embraced by the Qinhekou River and the Taor River on either side, surrounded by water on all sides. It lies at the convergence of the Yellow River Delta Efficient Eco-Economic Zone, the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone, the Bohai Rim Economic Circle, and the Provincial Capital Urban Agglomeration Economic Circle, as well as at the intersection of Beijing–Tianjin–Tanggu and Shanghai–Jiangsu–Zhejiang. With a superior geographical location and distinct regional advantages, it boasts highly convenient transportation.

The scenic area is equipped with complete infrastructure including water, electricity, roads, communication, and internet, and offers facilities such as helicopters, luxury yachts, motorboats, kayaks, antique-style painted pleasure boats, and sightseeing electric vehicles. There are amenities such as a visitor center, cruise terminal, seaside bathing beach, cultural square, water fishing, and outdoor training programs. The landscape greening has taken initial shape, with several million trees including fragrant-flowered locust, silk tree, hybrid willow, ashleaf maple, jujube, peach, and pear forming a coastal ten-thousand-mu ecological forest farm. This serves as a natural windbreak and sand-fixing barrier along the Bohai coast. Understory economies such as high-quality alfalfa, fruits and vegetables, modern fisheries, and leisure fishing have become a beautiful scene along the coastal wetlands. The scenic area has been designated as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, a national wetland park, a national-level field scientific observation and research base, a national leisure fisheries demonstration site, one of the top ten leisure farms in China, a national water conservancy scenic area, and a five-star national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration base.
