The Wudi Millennium Ancient Mulberry Garden is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Millennium Ancient Mulberry Garden is located in the central-western part of Chewang Town, between the Dehui New River and the Majia River, on a terrain formed by the Yellow River alluvial plain. Within its 400-acre area, there are over 400 ancient mulberry trees that are a thousand years old, as well as more than 4,000 modern mulberry trees. The garden emphasizes eco-friendly development, showcasing the charm of the “Old Course of the Yellow River and a paradise on earth.” It is a composite destination integrating an ecological leisure park, an ancient mulberry culture expo park, a rural experience park of northern Shandong, and a native plants science education park.

Regular tourism activities include: Leisure experience in the mulberry woods and reed sea. Visitors can explore the mulberry forest on foot, by bicycle (single or tandem), or via electric sightseeing vehicles to learn about ancient mulberry knowledge and historical stories—either alone or in organized groups. In the reed sea, visitors can walk, ride bikes (single or tandem), take a boat, or ride a water bicycle to venture deep into the reeds, listening to frog croaks and birdsongs while watching the reed flowers sway across the sky.

Waterfront recreation, fishing, and fish-catching. Enjoy the tranquility of fishing at the fishing platform or the joy of catching fish at the fish-catching pool. Visitors can rent or bring their own fishing gear to fish at designated spots on the fishing platform, or even go barefoot into the water to catch fish by hand.

Romantic vows in the mulberry isle. With the guidance of a tour guide or organizer, couples can meet at the Matchmaker’s Gate, hold hands under the Lovebird Pavilion, and make vows on the Oath Platform to experience a warm and romantic atmosphere.

Thousand Children’s Park for longevity, fertility, and blessings. In the Thousand Children’s Park, visitors can pray to the divine beast Qilin for children, light incense, and tie a red ribbon on a child figurine of their favorite zodiac sign. In the Longevity Park, visitors can pray for long life for themselves, their families, or friends, light incense, and then lock a padlock on the Longevity Lock Pillar to offer blessings.

Unique fruit-picking experiences. During the mulberry harvest season, a grand mulberry culture festival is held, where visitors can pick mulberries within designated areas and enjoy life. Throughout spring, summer, and autumn, visitors can also join local villagers in planting, managing, and harvesting fruits and vegetables in the ecological picking garden to experience the rural charm of northern Shandong.
