Xinsan High-Efficiency Agricultural Eco-Park

The Wudi Xinsan High-Efficiency Agricultural Eco-Park began construction in 2010, covering an area of over 200 acres with a planned total investment of 30 million yuan. To date, the park has completed investments of more than 22 million yuan. It has planned and built a pollution-free winter jujube picking garden, a pollution-free vegetable planting garden, a high-quality fruit planting garden, a special animal breeding area, and a catering service area. The park has planted 50 acres of high-quality Dazeshan grape varieties, 1,500 late-autumn yellow pear trees, and 50 acres of Feicheng peaches. In 2013, three new jujube product varieties — “Mid-Autumn Red,” “Crisp Sour Jujube,” and “High-Vitamin Sour Jujube” — which won the “Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress First Prize,” were introduced from the Shandong Academy of Forestry. These varieties will bear fruit next year. In the picking and planting areas, pollution-free management methods are used. The park has biogas digesters, avoids the use of pesticides, and employs physical pest control. The produce is residue-free and pollution-free.

The park has constructed a science and technology office building, which was put into use in 2012. It provides free high-quality fruit tree seedlings and new livestock breeds to the public, and offers free training to help locals master scientific planting and breeding techniques. The park is set to drive the development of 5,000 acres of jujube orchards located west of Shuipang Road, east of Longteng Road, south of Xiaomai River, and north of Di’eng Road. It serves as a model site for high-efficiency ecological agriculture in Shuiwan Town and even the entire county.
