Former Residence of Feng Anbang

The former residence of Feng Anbang is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The former residence of Feng Anbang is located on the west side of Haifeng Road in the old urban area of Wudi County, Binzhou City, adjacent to the north of the former residence of Wu Shifen. Feng Anbang, a native of Dianzi Village in Xinyang Township, was an anti-Japanese general and a lieutenant general in the Nationalist Army’s land forces. He built this residence here during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period. The property consists of three living rooms, three main halls, three gatehouse wing rooms, and three storage rooms. In September 1992, it was announced as a county-level cultural relic protection unit by the People's Government of Wudi County. In October 2013, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province. In August 2006, the Feng Anbang Memorial Hall was established and opened to the public at the former residence. The honorary chairman of the Kuomintang inscribed a dedication for the statue of General Feng, Ms. Aisin-Gioro Hengyi, president of the Sino-American Cultural and Art Exchange Association, wrote the plaque inscription, the renowned painter Li Shan titled the site as “Former Residence of General Feng Anbang,” and Wang Zhongwu, a celebrated calligrapher and local elder from Jinan, composed the couplet for the memorial hall.

On October 10, 2013, the former residence of Feng Anbang was announced as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

The subdistrict covers a total area of 91.7 square kilometers, with 42,000 mu of arable land, a total population of 79,000, and 1,159 party members. It administers 77 administrative villages and 12 communities.
