Tomb of Li Zuojia

Li Zuojia, a strategist in the late Qin Dynasty, initially served in the state of Zhao and was granted the title of Lord Guangwu. After Han Xin conquered Zhao, he recruited Li and became his disciple. The existing tomb mound stands 4 meters high at its highest point and has a diameter of 22 meters. It is built from compacted yellow clay and contains pottery fragments from the Han Dynasty. In front of the tomb is a stele from the 19th year of the Kangxi reign in the Qing Dynasty (1680), measuring 2.5 meters in height, 0.85 meters in width, and 0.28 meters in thickness. The inscription recounts Li Zuojia’s life and the reason for erecting the stele. Another stele from the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936) stands 2 meters high, 0.8 meters wide, and 0.32 meters thick, bearing the text “Tomb of Li Zuojia, Lord Guangwu of the Han Dynasty.”
