Former Residence of Wang Qing

The former residence of Wang Qing is a protected cultural heritage site of Binzhou City.

The former residence of Wang Qing is located at the northern end of Chengguan Village in Wudi County. The existing structures include the main gate tower, the entrance to the small courtyard, and a row of main buildings, covering an area of approximately 320 square meters. The gate tower features exquisite craftsmanship and a classic, elegant design. Wang Qing, a native of Wudi (1630–1672), passed the imperial examination at the county level in the 6th year of the Shunzhi reign (1649) during the Qing Dynasty and became a Jinshi (advanced scholar) the following year. He eventually rose to the position of Vice Minister in the Ministry of Personnel. His outstanding governance achievements earned him multiple imperial commendations. He authored works such as *Collected Poems and Essays from the Liuyu Hall*. In July 2011, the residence was designated as a county-level cultural heritage site by the Wudi County People's Government. On July 17, 2012, it was further recognized as a municipal-level cultural heritage site by the Binzhou Municipal People's Government.
