Xiajin People's Park

People's Park is located in the northern part of the urban area, at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Yincheng Road (National Highway 308). It covers a total area of 160 mu (including roads), with green space spanning 55,643 square meters, paved areas totaling 22,646 square meters, water surfaces covering 5,000 square meters, and park pathways occupying 3,723 square meters.

The park design is centered around the concept of "one core, two axes, and five gardens," and includes one main entrance and two secondary entrances. One Core: Refers to the themed sculpture area at the center of the park, covering an area of 16,300 square meters, featuring cultural pillars that fully reflect the park’s cultural ambiance. Meanwhile, the “Rise of the Cotton Capital” also serves as the county emblem. Two Axes: The Cultural Axis, or east-west axis, is the main historical and cultural axis composed of the Welcome Area, Themed Sculpture Area, and Waterfront Platform; the Ecological Axis, or north-south axis, is the main axis for connecting with nature and leisure activities. These two main axes divide the park into five gardens: Spring Garden, Crape Myrtle Garden, Rose Garden, Evergreen Garden, and Water System Garden. Spring Garden is located in the northwest, embodying the vibrant energy of spring. It features a Pigeon Interaction Area, a Sand Play Area, and some children’s play equipment, making it a primary play zone for kids. Crape Myrtle Garden is situated in the northeast, covering 13,000 square meters, and is dominated by lush crape myrtle plantings. It includes a gateball court and fitness equipment for seniors, offering a space where older visitors can enjoy the flower-filled surroundings without feeling their age. Rose Garden is in the southwest, spanning 15,000 square meters, primarily planted with various types of roses. The central Rose Pond features densely planted, multicolored roses. It also offers a variety of fitness equipment, making it a great spot for young and middle-aged people to exercise. Evergreen Garden is located in the southeast, covering 17,000 square meters, remaining green all year round with large trees providing ample shade. It’s an ideal place for locals to relax, stroll, and enjoy leisure time. Water System Garden covers 5,400 square meters and connects to the Liuwu River, representing the park’s vitality and providing another great leisure area for the public. In addition, two rows of archways and two pavilions are set up at the main entrance to offer spaces for leisure and sightseeing, enhancing the park’s cultural and recreational functions.

People's Park serves the dual functions of public green space and urban plaza. It is a comprehensive city park integrating leisure, sightseeing, external display, fitness, and cultural entertainment.
